Meet Ms. April!

I'm delighted to introduce you Teresa Gray, aka Mommamea on Bombshell's Forum. She's Ms. April and has a style all her own. I've conducted a little interview with her so you can get to know her a bit better!

Here it is:
1. Brief info about yourself, including your name, where you live, your family (if you want), etc.
Hi everyone, I’m April's Guest Pin-Up. My name is Teresa Gray and I live in the beautiful state of Washington. I have been married to a wonderful, supportive man named Jerry for 30 years in August. He encourages me to do the crazy things I do with my crafting. We have four adult kids, three boys and a girl. Tw are married, so our family grew even bigger. No grandkids yet but I can’t wait for that day.

2. How long have you been stamping and/or crafting?
Oh man, as long as I can remember. I got a full size sewing machine when I was ten years old from my mom, so I guess over 40 years at least. I was created to create.

Stamps entered into my life in my early 20’s so I have at least 25+ years doing that.

I really got into stamps and paper crafting in 2004 when I went to a stamp party. I signed up so I could get a discount on all my “Oh I HAVE to have that stuff”. The last couple of years I have grown in my designing so I have ventured into other companies. That is when I found and fell in love with Bombshell stamps. I love the look and style they can give you.

3. What are your favorite Bombshell sets and why?
Oh???? I have the worst time picking just one or two. I love the Girl’s Ruin set because of the high heel. I love to wear high heels. I didn’t for years because I didn’t want my poor husband to be uncomfortable when we went out as he is 5’5”, I’m 5’7”. I like HIGH heels! Mine are no less than 3.5” high and as much as 5+". So when I saw that set, I had to have it!

Bombshell Angel is so versatile. Speed Shop is so much fun to color and with all the guys in my life, they like this set.

4. What kind of projects do you like to do?

I make cards the most but scrapbooking and altering things are also so much fun. I do lots of different crafts so you never know what I might do next.

5. What are your favorite coloring mediums?

I love Copic or alcohol ink markers right now because they blend so nicely. I use a lot of distress from Tim Holtz' line. Honestly I just love to color and cut things out. It is rare that I don’t cut out my main image because I like the pop when it's not flat on the paper.

6. Describe your crafting "style”.
I wouldn’t say I have any style but my own because it depends on my mood and how the day is going as to what I make. I love the look of shabby chic but never seem to create it. I have tried to fit into the style box but it just doesn’t fit me because that style box is too tight.

7. Describe your crafting process. Do you start with a stamp set? A sketch? A technique you want to use?
Lately what is on my desk is my inspiration. I have been in the middle of a major move of my craft room. So as I put stuff away or place it on my desk to sort it out, I find an image I stamped or a piece of paper that would make an awesome card. I like to sketch and use some I find but it is more about the moment for me.

8. Do you have any other hobbies?

Ummmm Ya... I sew, do woodworking, painting, beading, cross stitching, knit/crocheting. I really love to create. I am going to learn to tat next.

9. Free for all including little facts, etc. about you.

• We have four dogs and one turtle.
• I believe we all have some creativity in us.

I’m honored to be able to say I was/am a pin up girl for Bombshell. I can’t thank you enough for this chance.
