Meet Ms. August!

Päivi Jänkälä is Bombshell's Ms. August! She's got wonderful coloring and design skills.

Here's a little interview with her so you can get to know her better!

Brief info about yourself, including your name, where you live, your family (if you want), etc.
My name is Päivi and I live in Sweden with my husband and our son.

How long have you been stamping and/or crafting?
For as long as I remember I have been doing my own cards for family and friends on their birthdays but 2009 I found the wonderful world of coloring stamps and I was really hooked on crafting. Now I do mainly cards and layouts.

What are your favorite Bombshell sets and why?
I really do like all the Bombshell sets so it is not that easy to choose a favorite but one that I have and  I really like is the Speed Shop set .

What kind of projects do you like to do?
I love to do cards and one of my favorite kind of cards to create are cards for boys and men.   I  guess that's why I love the Speed Shop set. Since I have a ten-year old son, I love to do layouts with pictures of him.

What are your favorite coloring mediums?
I started out coloring my stamps with watercolors but quite soon I bought my first ProMarkers and was hooked on them. Now I have also bought some Copic markers and like them as much as my Promarkers.

Describe your crafting style
My style is quite simple but I wouldn´t call it Clean and Simple. I like to put the stamp as the focus on my cards so I don´t use that much decoration. When you have cool stamps, all you need i some cool paper to match.

Describe your crafting process. Do you start with a stamp set? A sketch? A technique you want to use?
I usually just choose a stamp to color when I start crafting. When I´m ready with the coloring, I just choose papers to go with the stamp and start building a card. I get lots of inspiration from sketches and different kind of challenges.

Do you have any other hobbies?
My main hobby is crafting nowadays, so I don´t have many more hobbies. If spending time with my family counts as a hobby, I guess that´s my other hobby :) As many crafters, I have tried diffrent kinds of hobbies, such as making my own jewelry, kniting, painting with oilcolors, painting with watercolors, basket painting and so on...

Now that you've learned a bit more about Pälvi, here are two of her projects!
