July Color Challenge

Greetings! Alison here. It's time for the next Bombshell Stamps Color Challenge! This month, like all of the others, I got my color palette from Design Seeds

To play, you need to use at least 3 of the colors from the palette (the more the merrier, though!), and you can only use black, white, and skin tones additionally. I can see many, many of Bombshell's great projects working for this set of colors, can't you? Here's what the DT came up with. I look forward to seeing your entries!

Ms. August's Challenge!

Päivi Jänkälä, Bombshell's Ms. August, has issued her challenge, which she's calling "Please Your Man"! Use your Bombshell stamps to create a project for a man in your life! Notice that she said "a" man, not necessarily "the" man, so it can be your father, brother, son, lover, postman, mechanic, etc. :D

Feel free to take Pälvi's challenge and use the Inlinkz below! The only rule is to use Bombshell Stamps in your project!

Take a gander (pun intended) at the fabulous projects created by our talented Bombshell Girls and Pin-Ups!

Purple and Green - Halloween

Howdy all you Bombshells out there in internet land. It is coming up on Halloween soon - a BOMBSHELL FAVORITE HOLIDAY. We are all a bit nutso about Halloween and Bombshell stamps has some wonderful Halloween type stamps for you.

Everything from Pirate ladies to Hula Girls, to Skulls, skeletons, etc. etc... Bombshell stamps are wonderful for those Halloween cards you want to make. I decided to use a few stamps for this card below.

I used Bombshell Angel for this card along with Halloween Costume Outfits. I love these outfits... especially this caped one. Gorgeous, and a lot of fun to color up (more on that later). The background print is not printed paper, but black paper with VersaMark stamped image from the Bombshell Patterns stamps, then embossed with purple and green embossing powder. I mounted these on sparkly green paper, and then on black card base.

I colored her up with all sorts of pretty puples and greens. For the purples I used a standard V12, 15, 17, 09. But for the greens I got a little more adventurous. That is YG13, 25, 67. I tend to color light to dark. So I start by coloring all the light colors in first, and layering on the dark and going back over it. For the Green on her dress I tried to make it a little more smooth, where the purple lining I wanted a little bit of texture, so I did a lot of streaking motions on this one. For some reaosn I picture the inside of this cape as royal purple velvet.

I think this is one VERY classy Vampire or  ready for a night on the town!

Thanks for joining me today for this, and I am pretty sure you will see a BUNCH more Halloween cards in the next few weeks.
