Sacred Heart & Mi Amor Greeting Card

Hello! 

Rachael here, today I'm bringing you a newly designed card using Sacred Heart and the heart icon from Mi Amor.

To create this card I first selected the images that I wanted to use.  I wanted to use my new stamp set, Sacred Heart and a small rose from the Mi Amor set.

I then selected my color palette and then my printed papers.

I stamped the main heart image from Sacred Heart twice onto blank white card stock. I colored the heart and fire of one heart and the bramble vine of the other. I then cut out the vine of the second and glued it down to the first stamped and colored image. I then cut out the entire image.

I stamped, colored and cut out the wings from the same set.

On a strip of red card stock I stamped the small red rose from Mi Amor as a background stamp.

I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Ovals Small (using the largest oval) and cut out and embossed an oval of white card stock.

I sized my black base paper, the black and white checkered paper and the red strip.  I distressed each piece of paper (except the white oval) with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen first and then Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain.  I then glued the black card base down to a white card base.

I popped the checkered paper off of the black base.

I glued down the wings I had colored and cut out down to the classic oval I had cut out previously.  I then popped off the flaming heart image of the background and adhered it to the wings. I then glued down the oval to the card base.

I finished off this card with three half pearls in the far right corner.

Peek-a-boo Geisha

Hi.  It is Cassie, Ms. November, here.  I was just dropping in really quick to share a card I made with the Peek-a-boo Geisha digital stamp.  I absolutely love these stamps because they have such a pretty design and really allow you to use a lot of color in your project.  They are also just so fun and flirty.  I can't get enough of them.  I used Copic markers to color this image. I hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.   

Friday Tutorial - Fall Vase Wrap

Hi Everyone! 

Today's tutorial is on using your Bombshell Stamps to create a Fall Vase Wrap.  I love decorating for the different seasons through out the year and since it's fun, easy and cheaper to make my own decorations then buy them, that's what I do!  I use this vase year round and just change up the outside wrap to fit the season/holidays. 

Supplies
-Bombshell Stamps Indian Princess (I used the Digi Set)- Indian Princess, Dream Catcher(x2), Large Feather(x2), Small Feather(x2)
- Vase (I bought this glass vase at my local dollar store)
- piece of Burlap or Jute - 4 inches in height (width - you will need enough to wrap around your vase plus one inch)
- Velcro
- Colored Pencils
- Printer, cardstock and Ink (or cardstock and ink if you use the rubber stamp set)
- pop dots
- glue
- measuring tape
-scissors
- Flowers to fill your vase!

How To:

-Print out or stamp the Indian Princess, Dream Catcher(x2), Large Feather(x2), Small Feather(x2) and color with colored pencils (or markers if you prefer).  Then fussy cut the images out with your scissors.

- Measure around your vase and take that width and add about another 1/2 - 1 inch and then cut your jute or burlap to that width.  (ex - my vase is 11 inches so I cut the jute to 12 inches wide).
  I used a jute bag that I already had.  After taking out the seams it was in 2 pieces, so I sewed the middle together with some clear thread. 

- Next add velcro to the ends so you can secure the jute wrap around the vase.

-Place pop dots underneath the Indian Princess and place the image toward the middle of the jute wrap. (If the pop dots adhesive backing isn't strong enough to stay on the jute, you may need to use glue to adhere the pop dots to it)

-Then using glue adhere the dream catchers and feathers onto the jute/burlap to the right side of the Indian Princess.  Once dry, attach the wrap to the vase.

And that's it!  Your vase is ready to decorate your house.  Mine is currently sitting on my mantle.

Greetings, Bombshell Fans! Alison here. It's time to announce the November Hump Day Hop! Since many of us are getting ready to think about cooking for Thanksgiving, I thought it would be fun to have a recipe challenge!

Ingredients:

3 Patterned Papers

2 Bombshell Stamps images

1 Piece of Ribbon

That's a pretty easy recipe...even for me ('cause I'm not a fan of cooking!)! Of course, you can add extra elements, but let's let the 3 ingredients I mentioned take center stage. This hop will take place on Wednesday, November 28th...always the last Wednesday of the month. The deadline to sign up is Monday, November 26th at 11:59 p.m. PDT. You can do so in THIS thread.

Meet Ms. November!

Cassie Schissel Barber is our Ms. November. She brings wonderful coloring and design skills to her artwork.

Here's her interview so that you can get to know her better!

1. Brief info about yourself, including your name, where you live, your family (if you want), etc.
My name is Cassie and I am 31 years old. I live in Thornton, CO. I work in a University Law Library. I am a mother of nine-month old boy and wife to an amazing man.

2. How long have you been stamping and/or crafting?
I started scrapbooking when I was 17 years old. My first nephew had just been born and my sister went to get some supplies for his scrapbook and I was hooked. Other paper crafting followed a few years later.

3. What are your favorite Bombshell sets and why?
I love the pin up collections. I have always been drawn to old pin up photos as art and I was so excited when I first found Bombshell Stamps! They were exactly the kind of stamps I was looking for.

4. What kind of projects do you like to do?
I like to make cards, scrapbook pages and I love to alter canvases and other items.

5. What are your favorite coloring mediums?
Distress Inks

6. Describe your crafting "style".
I really like to use a lot of distressing techniques, but at the same time I think I have a pretty clean-lined style. I don't tend to use tons of embellishments, but I do think a few well placed ones can make or break a page. I think I have a pretty versatile style though. It changes a lot from project to project and I usually let my mood at the time dictate how the final project will look.

7. Describe your crafting process. Do you start with a stamp set? A sketch? A technique you want to use?
It depends. A lot of the time I will start with a sketch, but usually if it is a scrapbook page I start with a photo and then go from there. With cards I frequently start with a stamp set I want to use.

8. Do you have any other hobbies?
I like to read, I love to bake and decorate cakes and I am just getting in to photography.

9. Free for all including little facts, etc. about you.
I am a pretty laid back person most of the time. I operate under a live-and-let-live mentality. I also try to be kind and thoughtful to others.

Hi there!

This is my first post here as GDT and for this project I used: 

• Butterfly Queen (butterfly) 
• Homeward Bound (chain ) 
• Bombshell Angel (star)

  

 

 

Skull and eyes are cut out with my Cricut and I have added 3D coting on the butterfly and the eyes. I have colored with watercolors.

El Dia de Los Muertos!

It's the Day of the Dead and the Bombshell Design Team wants to celebrate Bombshell style!
