Getting Fishy

This card uses Bombshell Stamp's  Koi Tattoo stamp set.   This set goes perfectly with this month's featured stamp set - Lotus Garden.

The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic alcohol markers.  The card features papers from Basic Grey's Konnichiwa collection.  Those designer printed papers go perfectly with both of the above linked Bombshell Stamps stamp sets.

Some of the tools used to create this card are Creative Memories Custom Cutting System - Ovals, and a Cuttlebug Embossing folder from the Plum Blossom set. The triangle punch is from Stampin' Up.  Accents include some pearls and ribbon.

The inside of the card is simple with a border punched using a punch from Fiskars and a bit of ribbon.

Our Hot Rod Collection has gone DIGITAL!

Bombshell's Hot Rod Classic collection is now available as rubber AND digital stamps! Woo-hoo!

Here's a card created with the King of the Road digital set!

I had some fun manipulating the Classic Coupe Hot Rod from the King of the Road digital set. It was flipped, resized, and the shadows were erased using PhotoElements software. It was printed out onto Neenah cardstock using a laser printer, then colored with Copic markers. The chrome bits were colored using a silver Prismacolor pencil which was blended out with a Prismacolor Colorless Blender marker. My design called for a mask, so the same image was printed out onto used generic printer paper using an inkjet paper. This image was fussy-cut and adhered to its counterpart using repositionable adhesive. The "roadway" was sponged using Watering Can Archival ink. The cloudy sky was created by sponging Stormy Sky Distress ink over an old FairyTale Creations cloud stencil.

Checkerboard and flame Washi tape was adhered to a piece of cardstock to use for my background. The stamped, sponged piece, was adhered to the Washi taped cardstock, and foil photo corner stickers were added. I haven't decided who will receive this card for what occasion, so I did not use a sentiment at this time.

Thanks for visiting today! Now go check out the wonderful new addition to Bombshell Stamps!

Mini Journal Page Background

Sharon aka Ms October here sharing a quick and easy but effective way of decorating a journal page to add your Bombshell Stamps to!

A few months ago I shared this little mini journal page and thought for today's Fabulous Friday Tutorial I would show how I did it!

Firstly I "gessoed" my page just to prevent any seepage onto the page behind.

Then using a baby wipe - I love these - so quick and easy to cover the entire page with your background colour. I have a set of little tubes of acrylic paint which I love to use on my journal pages.

Then I chose a red colour and used a sponge applicator over this Heidi Swapp stencil.

I used another stencil which is from The Crafters Workshop to add some circles to the bottom corner of the mini page using black paint.

I love the look of the 2 different stencils together.

I finished the page by sponging some white paint around the outside just to soften it a bit and now you have a page all ready to decorate with your Bombshell Stamps like the blue themed pages above. I stamped the image on card - from the Love and Luck Stamp Set - coloured it with Copic Markers - fussy cut it and adhered to the top of the page. The wording was handwritten.

Hope you can have some fun with your journal pages and Bombshell Stamps!

March Hump Day Hop: Washi Away

Welcome to the March Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! Alison here. This month's theme is "Washi Away." Washi  tape is extremely popular with paper crafters right now, so I thought it would be fun to have a challenge where everyone uses it. The tape comes in such a huge variety of patterns and colors, it's easy to see why people have been collecting loads of them! So let's get hopping, shall we? Below is the full hop list. Please leave everyone some love! Happy hopping!

Still time to Play Bombshell Bingo!!!!

Hi guys. I hope you are having a great weekend. I was travelling earlier this month and didn't have time to get in my project for Ms. March' Pin Up Challenge. It was a game of Bingo and I LOVE Bingo. SAD FACE.

But here I am with my BINGO combination.

The Bingo card is below:

I went diagonally! My first element in the B column is Lace - I cut a piece of black lace and wound it up to make a flower. To hold it in place I added the crystal as the center. The I column is the fancy border. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch I have. I like the little bit left on the ends. To me it gives it a bit of a finality.  Then I got a Free Space - because WHO Doesn't like Free. :-)

Then G - that is Butterflies - I used Butterfly Dreams for the two butterflies I used. Because I knew that I was using Black and white predominantly I thought they needed to be very colorful. So I used RV0x, BG0X and YG0x series to color them. The final square in my diagonal bingo was embossing. For this I used Versamark on the inside of one side of an embossing folder. I then very carefully placed my paper and then ran it through my Embossing tool... Once done I quickly added clear EP on it and heat embossed it. It gives a black DP like look to it with the matte and shiny making it look really cool.

OK... So now why don't you try your hand at Bombshell BINGO. You do not have to use a Bombshell image to enter, and you get a chance at wining some!

Til later - TATA!

Dynamic Motorcycle News (DD94)

I love the Dynamic Duos challenges.   This week's color challenge is to use Basic Black and More Mustard.   Here's my card.

The image is from Bombshell Stamp's Harley Bikes set.  It's stamped using Memento Tuesedo Black ink and colored using Copic markers.   I used printed papers from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found collection.   Stampin' Up cardstock.  The embossing folder is by Lifetime Crafts (Quickutz).  The greeting is a simple "hello" that's punched using a Creative Memories Circle punch and layered using a Stampin' Up 7/8" Scalloped Circle punch.  For the distressing, I used some Tim Holz/Ranger Distress Ink.

And the inside of the card.  I added a punched border (Stampin' Up/EK Success punch).

Fun Coloring With Derwent Inktense Pencils

Good Morning, Marnie here today.  I've been playing more with the Inktense Pencils and I love the affect they give to your coloring.  It's like painting with pencils.   For this project I started with the Speed Shop Stamp Set and my blue and purple pencils along with a few greys as well as a few accent colors.  I stamped the car with Archival ink to begin.
First I layed down a layer of light colors these will become the high lights.  Here we are using blues for the car exterior and red for the interior.  The chrome and frame areas are grey.
Next we add darker shadows.  Be gentle with this the color will spread.  And once it's dry we can always add more the color is permanent though after we add water so it cannot be taken away.

Now with the water brush blend out from the dark to light again be careful not to add too much water so it doesn't bleed.
With the purple and lavenders begin building a background.  I used dark greys for under the car.
this is after a couple of layers of color and blending with the water brush to build up the deep purple.
With a white pen and a Wink of Stella pen add some sparkles to the chrome areas and the skull emblem as well as a few stars in the background.
I love how it turned out though the sparkle from the Wink of Stella is hard to see in the photograph.  It's Awesome in person though and not to glittery for a masculine card.
I hope you get a chance to play with the Inktense Pencils they are so much different than the other mediums I've used and a joy to work with.  Thank you so much for stopping by today.
