Sometimes, you need to challenge yourself, and try something new. Sometimes, you need to step out of your comfort zone, and try new things. In my case... I had to try out the Butterfly Queen.
I have had her for months, and yet, I have never taken ink to her. (Hey atleast I cut her out!! That is a big step!) For me its like hoarding paper. Instead of hoarding paper, I guess I hoard stamps. My BFF who got me started in stamping makes fun of me for this crazy habit of mine. She will text me, or facebook me asking me if I had used my ______ (fill in the blank) stamps yet. Typically I say no... but NOW!!! I can say I did. I am addicted to her. I plan on stamping out more of her, and making some rockin' cards.
Card 411:
Paper: Recollections, Bazzil Basics, and I think K&Co (patterned paper). It came out of my stash.
Stamp: Duh, Butterfly Queen (main image)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Prismacolor Brick Beige, SU Stampin Write markers.
Great card Emily! I am glad you decided to use your Butterfly Queen! And I am like you a stamp hoarder LOL!
ReplyDeleteA little while ago a friend asked me if I didn't have enough stamps by now.....
My reply was very clear:
A crafting girl can NEVER EVER have enough stamps!! :)
Stamp horder - whatever can that be? I wouldn't have any idea - looks guilty at the basket of stamps that have never seen ink and was added to just today.
ReplyDeleteYou really started out with a bang with your Butterfly Queen, great card. I anxious to see what else you do with her.
its pretty sad. I look at some of my non bombshells, and they have never seen the light of any of my cards. My friends have stamped them... but i have such stamp neglect. I need to treat them with better respect apparently and ink them up asap!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know I'm not the only one who hoardes their stamps! I have a couple sets here that I haven't brought myself to put to ink, yet.
ReplyDeleteLove this card. Anxious to see more of your projects with those hoarded stamps! :)
